CSCL INDIAN OCEAN auf der Elbe auf Grund gelaufen / Update

Wie mehrere Agenturen melden ist der 400 Meter Containerriese  CSCL INDIAN OCEAN am gestrigen Abend auf der Elbe bei Einlaufen Richtung Hamburg auf Grund gelaufen. Nach noch unbestätigten Angaben wurde ein Schaden an der Ruderanlage festgestellt und das Schiff absichtlich in flache Gewässer gesteuert um die Fahrrinne frei zu halten.

Wie erst heute bekannt wurde hat CSCL INDIAN OCEAN laut maritime Bulletin während der Reedezeit westlich vor Helgoland den Steuerbordanker und einige hundert Meter Ankerkette aus bisher unbekannten Gründen verloren.  Dies ist insbesondere ein schwerer Unfall, wo doch das größte Containerschiff der Welt bei der Revierfahrt auf der Elbe beide Anker benötigt hätte.
